Using Wix.com for my blogging- the benefits &challenges.

An introduction to Wix.com

After having explored various blogging sites such as WordPress.com ,Weebly,Ghost,Joomla.com I have chosen Wix.com site for the blogging of my teaching and learning experience for this module: bringing technological innovation in the classroom. I have discovered many technological tools and templates to post my contents. However I have also come across many challenges as well ,as a learner ''debutant'' blogging for the first time . Here are some benefits and challenges i have had while blogging on this site:

Benefits of using Wix.com

- It is simple to navigate and create an interesting Pinterest-like blog.

- Wix.com enables access to various aesthetic templates.

- The site is very modern.

- The work is already saved automatically which facilitates users while they edit their content.

- The technological tools allow flexibility for users.Wix.com allows users to easily move pictures and text around.

Disadvantages of using Wix.com

- the drag and drop options can limit bloggers creativity.

- The templates cannot be changed easily. Once the initial template has been chosen by the user, it becomes impossible to switch to anew one. If the user switches templates ,he will lose his contents and customizations.

- I have got difficulties to drag background images/wallpapers because of the layouts which are limited and already available for use.
